Unlimited languages. Free. Works with Elementor, WPBakery & Gutenberg.
AYM Multilingual Lite is a multilingual WordPress plugin for building websites with unlimited languages. Most free multilingual plugins cap you at two languages and push you toward a paid upgrade — AYM doesn’t. Add as many languages as your audience needs, from day one.
Create multilingual WordPress websites with clean language URLs, translated content, language-specific menus, Elementor headers and footers, a flexible language switcher, and multilingual SEO support.
What’s included in Lite:
- Unlimited languages with one primary language
- Elementor Theme Builder support for per-language header and footer templates
- ElementsKit support for header and footer mapping
- SEO-friendly language URLs such as
/tr/,/en/, and/de/ - hreflang and canonical handling
- Translation of Pages, Posts, and supported Custom Post Types
- One-click cloning of content into another language
- Per-language menu mapping
- Language switcher via shortcode and menu controls
- Optional browser-language detection and redirection
- Full RTL support for Arabic, Hebrew, and other RTL languages
- Built-in Health panel for multilingual configuration checks
- Settings export/import between sites
Unlimited Languages — No 2-Language Limit
Add as many languages as your website needs. AYM Multilingual Lite does not limit you to two languages — this isn’t a trial of a paid feature, it’s how the plugin is built.
Works With Your WordPress Builder
AYM Multilingual Lite works with popular WordPress editing and page-building workflows, including:
- Elementor
- WPBakery
- Gutenberg
- ElementsKit
Use your existing WordPress editor or page builder while AYM handles multilingual routing, translations, menus, language switching, and multilingual SEO.
For Elementor and ElementsKit, AYM also provides per-language header and footer template mapping.
Multilingual WordPress URLs & SEO
Create clean language-based URLs such as /tr/, /en/, and /de/.
AYM includes hreflang and canonical handling to help search engines understand the relationship between translated pages — so your multilingual content gets indexed correctly instead of competing against itself.
Translate Pages, Posts & Custom Post Types
Create translations for Pages, Posts, and supported public Custom Post Types.
Use the + Language action to clone content into another language and then edit the translated version normally in WordPress or your page builder — no new interface to learn.
Language-Specific Menus, Headers & Footers
Assign different menus to different languages and map Elementor header and footer templates per language.
Language Switcher
Add a language switcher using the built-in shortcode or the language switcher controls available in the WordPress admin.
Browser Language Redirect
Optionally detect a first-time visitor’s preferred browser language and redirect them to the matching language. This feature is off by default.
Multilingual Health Panel
The read-only Health panel helps identify common multilingual configuration problems, including:
- Missing or duplicate translations
- Broken homepage mappings
- Broken menu links
- Page-template mismatches
- Potentially unlinked translation pairs
RTL Support
AYM supports right-to-left languages such as Arabic and Hebrew.
Need WooCommerce Translation?
WooCommerce product and variation translation is available in AYM Multilingual Pro.
Pro also adds AI-powered translation with OpenAI, Claude, or DeepL using your own API key, bulk translation, terminology glossary, WPML and Polylang import, string and UI translation, SEO field translation, and automatic currency conversion.
Lite remains free with unlimited languages; WooCommerce product and variation translation is a Pro feature.

ບັນທຶກການປ່ຽນແປງ
1.6.1
- Compatibility review for WordPress 7.1 (iframed post editor, client-side media processing, @wordpress/components updates, persistent toolbar, jQuery UI 1.14.2). This plugin does not use jQuery UI widgets, React/@wordpress/components, block-editor asset hooks, or custom image processing, so none of these changes affect it. Updated “Tested up to” to 7.1.
1.6.0
- Updated internal prefixes to comply with WordPress.org review requirements.
- If you used the
[aym_lang_switcher]shortcode directly in a Custom Link menu item, replace it with[aymml_lang_switcher].
1.5.1
- No functional changes — re-tagged to accompany an updated plugin listing description.
1.5.0
- Removed the 2-language cap entirely — Lite now supports unlimited languages, in line with WordPress.org’s guideline against artificially limiting built-in functionality. Upgrade messaging now focuses on AI translation, bulk translation, and WooCommerce support instead.
- All inline / output now uses wp_enqueue_script()/wp_enqueue_style() with wp_add_inline_script()/wp_add_inline_style(), per WordPress.org review feedback.
- Stricter boolean sanitization on registered settings (rest_sanitize_boolean()).
- Additional output escaping in the language switcher shortcode and title filters.
1.4.3
- Final Plugin Check pass: added per-line ignore annotations for all remaining multi-line editor-detection checks (each line of a check needs its own comment; a comment only covers the single line right after it).
1.4.2
- Further Plugin Check cleanup: fixed remaining nonce-verification/sanitization annotations that a first pass missed (multi-line statements need a comment per line), and covered two additional editor-detection code paths.
1.4.1
- WordPress.org Plugin Check cleanup: fixed a text-domain mismatch, updated “Tested up to”, replaced parse_url()/wp_redirect() with their WordPress-recommended equivalents, added cache-busting version parameters to registered scripts/styles, and added missing input sanitization/unslashing throughout.
1.4.0
- Rebuilt from the current AYM Multilingual codebase with all general-purpose improvements: RTL support, browser-language auto-redirect, translation progress indicator, page-template mismatch detection, and suggested translation matches (via shared featured image).
- Any public custom post type can now be enabled for translation from the Languages tab, not just Pages/Posts.
1.3.1
- Menu fallback: a language with no menu assigned now falls back to the primary language’s menu instead of showing an empty menu.
1.0.0
- Initial WordPress.org release.
