aserva AI Chat Widget adds an AI-powered customer support chat widget to your WordPress site and WooCommerce store.
The plugin connects your site to aserva, syncs useful WooCommerce and WordPress support context, and lets aserva answer common customer questions from your store knowledge. When the AI is unsure, conversations can be escalated to your aserva inbox.

Privacy Policy and External Services
This plugin connects to aserva, an external AI customer support service operated by aserva. The default service URL is https://app.aserva.io.
The plugin may send the following data to aserva after it is configured with an aserva API key:
- Chat widget configuration, including organization ID, widget position, color, and language.
- Logged-in customer context, such as display name and email, when available.
- Contact form submissions from supported form plugins, including submitted name, email, subject, message, selected fields, and page URL.
- WooCommerce order events, including order ID, order number, status, totals, currency, items, product URLs, product images, customer email, customer name, phone, and address fields.
- WooCommerce refund events, product review events, subscription renewal events, back-in-stock events, and abandoned cart events when those workflows are available on the store.
- Plugin diagnostics such as plugin version, WordPress version, site URL, and connection status.
Data is sent only after the plugin is configured with an aserva API key. Webhook requests from the plugin to aserva are signed with HMAC-SHA256 and include a timestamp.

- In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins > Add New.
- Search for “aserva AI Chat Widget”.
- Install and activate the plugin.
- Open the aserva menu in wp-admin.
- Connect your aserva account or enter your Organization ID and API key manually.
- Visit your storefront and confirm the chat widget appears.
- Optional: scan your store at https://aserva.io/scan?platform=woocommerce to identify the first support playbook to enable.
Manual upload
- Download the plugin ZIP.
- Upload it from Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
- Activate the plugin.
- Open aserva in wp-admin and complete setup.

Do I need WooCommerce?

No. The chat widget can run on a standard WordPress site. WooCommerce enables deeper ecommerce context such as order updates, customer order history, refunds, reviews, subscriptions, and abandoned cart events.

Yes. The plugin is a connector between WordPress and the aserva AI customer support service.

Will the widget block page loading?

No. The widget script is loaded asynchronously from your configured aserva app URL so it does not block the initial page render.

What happens if aserva cannot answer a question?

The conversation can be escalated to the aserva inbox for human review.

Does aserva handle refund or return approvals for me?

No. The plugin can sync refund events and capture return or refund requests for review, but merchant-controlled actions should be reviewed in aserva before they are approved.

Can I disable the widget?

Yes. Go to aserva in wp-admin and disable the chat widget from the settings page.
