I just installed this on a WP 4.9.8 and it works 100%. Likely because of its simple elegance, and the fact that it does what it needs to do using core framework code that hasn’t changed enough to break this plugin. It would be great if the author could do a quick once-over and update it for the repository, but at this point in time, that really does not seem necessary. So, if you’re on the fence about it, just install it and activate.
