Some WooCommerce features aren’t (yet) exposed in our interface – for those, the standard WooCommerce editor remains fully available side-by-side with CataLord: * **Grouped products** – the Grouped product type isn’t (yet) editable in CataLord( Simple, Variable, External/Affiliate, Virtual, and Downloadable are all supported) * **Sold-individually flag** – the “limit purchases to 1 per order” option * **Other advanced fields** – purchase note, menu order, review-enabled flag, featured flag * **Quick Edit for Variable products** – use the full editor for variable products CataLord reads and writes standard WooCommerce data with zero proprietary storage. Non- Latin characters fully supported throughout. #### Why CataLord? WooCommerce is a powerful e-commerce engine, but its product management interface was built for simplicity, not speed. As your catalog grows, the default editor becomes a bottleneck – too many clicks, too many page loads, too many tabs. CataLord is purpose-built for efficiency. Every feature is designed to reduce clicks, eliminate page reloads, and keep you focused on your products. Whether you manage 10 products or 10,000, CataLord makes the experience dramatically faster and more pleasant. #### Requirements * WordPress 6.5 or higher * WooCommerce 9.9 or higher * PHP 7.4 or higher #### Privacy & Third-Party Services CataLord runs entirely in your WordPress admin and stores all product data in your own WooCommerce tables – nothing proprietary. The plugin does, however, communicate with a small number of optional third-party services. Each is described below so you can decide what fits your privacy policy. None of them is contacted on a fresh install until you take an explicit action. * **Freemius (license / update infrastructure)** – CataLord uses the Freemius SDK to handle plugin updates, optional opt-in usage diagnostics, and Pro license checks. Opt-in diagnostics are **off by default**; you choose whether to share them when activating the plugin. License-related calls only happen for users who purchase Pro. When you generate or edit content, the plugin sends your prompt and the relevant product text or image bytes directly from your site to `generativelanguage.googleapis.com` using your key. When AI Product Enrichment needs facts the product does not hold, it asks Gemini to use its own Grounding with Google Search tool – the search runs inside Google’s API under your key, and CataLord itself never retrieves third-party pages. CataLord does not proxy, log, or retain this data. If you do not enter a Gemini API key, no calls are made. Nothing is requested unless you supply the address yourself. The plugin makes **no other outbound HTTP calls** – no analytics, no tracking pixels, no third-party fonts (Roboto Slab, Noto Sans Hebrew and Google Sans are all bundled locally in `assets/fonts/`), no remote code execution. Bundled JavaScript libraries: DOMPurify 3.4.13 (Cure53) ships as `assets/purify. min.js` under the Apache License 2.0 and the Mozilla Public License 2.0 – MPL-2.0 is GPLv2-compatible, so the bundle is GPL-compatible under WordPress’s own licence. No other third-party JavaScript is bundled, and nothing is loaded from a CDN. Bundled font licences: Google Sans and Noto Sans Hebrew are under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Roboto Slab 2.002 is under the Apache License 2.0 – its full text ships as `assets/fonts/LICENSE-Apache-2.0.txt`, as that licence requires. Per-file details are in `assets/fonts/LICENSE.txt`. Apache-2.0 is GPLv3-compatible and WordPress is “GPLv2 or later”, so all bundled assets are GPL-compatible. #### What is written to your logs CataLord writes diagnostic entries through WooCommerce’s own logger. Google provides a generous free tier for Gemini. We don’t charge for AI usage and we don’t proxy your data – the plugin calls Google’s API directly from your site. ### Will it work if my host disables WP-Cron? Yes for everything users interact with directly – page loads, saves, imports, AI calls. The only thing that depends on WP-Cron is a small daily cleanup task that removes leftover temporary CSV files from the uploads folder. Adding a column, reordering columns or reloading no longer widens the other columns, resizing one column stores only that column, and the Edit and Status columns fit their content in every language. * Fix: a SKU can move inside one save. When the main product gets a new SKU and its previous SKU goes to one of its variations, when a SKU moves from one variation to another, or when a product goes back to a simple product and takes the SKU of one of its variations, the save goes through instead of reporting the SKU as taken. #### 15.7.18 * New: the product search on the products page and in the editor marks results that are not published (draft, pending review, scheduled, private) with a status label under the SKU. * Fix: in the Attributes block, the attribute search lists only attributes the product does not have yet, a picked attribute opens on its full value list, and values accepted from AI suggestions appear selected in their attribute right away. #### 15.7.17 * Improvement: the built-in AI writing prompt is rewritten. Descriptions now follow a fixed structure (heading, two to four paragraphs, a Key features list with merged facts), keep to verified facts in metric units, avoid sales language and AI cliches, use the established term of the output language instead of a translation with the original in brackets, and keep mixed Hebrew and Latin text readable. The same voice is used by Fill with AI and product-page import. * Improvement: product names proposed by Fill with AI and product-page import follow one template: product type, brand (transliterated first when the language has an accepted form, then the official name), exact model, then a short natural phrase with the key features instead of a comma list. * New: the Price per unit block works with the WooDonkey runtime plugin as well. The plugin is detected automatically and is preferred over Price Per Unit Pro when both are installed. * Fix: when the AI answers Fill with AI with data the plugin cannot read, the request is repaired or asked once more, whatever can be recovered is kept, and the editor says what is missing. * Improvement: category names proposed by the AI are matched to the store’s categories word by word, so a singular or plural form finds its category, several fitting subcategories resolve to their parent, and a look-alike name in another language no longer wins. The AI now sees the full category path and returns it verbatim.
