I’ve been using WordPress for over 5 years now, and I just found out that changes
to the media library don’t propagate to images in posts. Thankfully, this plugin
identifies all images with missing alt tags and provides you with a link to the 
post. I was able to quickly sift through 100s of images, so I could replace them
with the latest version in the media library. It doesn’t automatically do this for
you but good luck finding a plugin that does.
